About Us
Little Lotus Yogis LLC, is committed to bringing wellness to the whole child- body, mind, and heart. This commitment sprang from a seed when our founder, Kristina, took her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Training program in 2017. She knew the program would help her become kinder and more patient with others, but what she didn’t expect was how much it transformed her inner world and the way she treated herself. She was suddenly kinder to herself, more forgiving, and allowed a gentleness to enter her life that wasn’t present before. She realized how different the world could be if we all took a moment to stop and breathe.
A world that moves through lightening fast speeds is not always the most conducive for our young children. Young kids and toddlers take time to absorb their world and discover the novelty around them. Little ones can often feel stressed, rushed, or left behind when we are trying to stay on our adult timelines and schedules. Children don’t often have the language, or skills to convey these bigger feelings. Many kids may not know how to ask a grown up for emotional support, or how to calm down on their own.
Yoga poses, breathing exercises, and stories built around social and emotional learning can give these tools to young children. Yoga helps with building confidence, regulating emotions, decreasing stress/anxiety, and helps boost self-esteem. Stories rooted in social and emotional learning give children language and context in an age appropriate manner to help them understand their inner worlds. This can help children become less reactive and learn how to problem solve, or ask for help. Our mission is to use mindfulness and joy to guide each child’s journey toward well-being. Think of the world we could live in if everyone stopped to breathe, were less reactive, and had the tools to communicate and navigate through life’s problems with a calm and level mind. These are the gifts we can give your child.
